Dr. Craig Revermann –
Chiropractor
Dr. Revermann graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic
in April of 2001.
One week after graduation, he began working for
Associated Physicians Group, a multi-disciplinary practice
with Medical Doctors, Physician Assistants, Nurse
Practitioners, Chiropractors, and Physical Therapist all
working together as a team providing physical medicine and
rehabilitation.
Dr. Revermann chose to work in a clinical setting like this
to gain experience prior to opening a practice on his own.
He worked for Associated Physicians Group for 5 years
and feels the professional growth from working side by side
on a daily basis with medical providers, other
chiropractors, and physical therapists has been invaluable
and has given him a finer appreciation for what each
discipline can offer. In addition, he has seen the
limitations of each scope of practice.
He feels this experience has sharpened his clinical
decision making skills as to what care is best suited
initially for a patient’s particular condition and what
alternative options are available for a patient if they are
not responding to conservative care.
The relationships he has established with
neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, primary care physicians,
pain management physicians, physical therapists, and other
chiropractors over the last 11 years have allowed him the
opportunity to communicate effectively with multiple
disciplines for complete and high quality patient care.

Chiropractic care focuses on properly aligning the body’s structures—primarily the spine—to allow for natural, surgery-free healing. A chiropractor’s goal is not to give patients drugs so they don’t feel pain, but to discover the source of the pain and correct the problem.
Why chiropractic?
The nervous system controls all of the body’s functions, and depends on the vertebrae in your spine to protect it. When your vertebrae are out of line, they can prohibit optimal operation of the nervous system, which can lead to various physical problems.
Is chiropractic safe?
Chiropractic treatments are incredibly safe—actually, they’re one of the safest kinds of medical care available. And your chiropractor has studied extensively to fully understand the body’s systems. The chiropractic training program is comparable to the program of study for medical doctors. According to the American Chiropractic Association, more than 30 million people visited doctors of chiropractic last year for a variety of conditions, and more and more medical doctors are referring their patients to doctors of chiropractic.
How much chiropractic care will I need?
The number of visits you make to your chiropractor depends on the nature of your condition and your personal goals. Many people use chiropractic as part of a preventive health care routine, scheduling chiropractic appointments on a regular basis to keep their bodies functioning at their best. Others seek care and treatment for specific conditions with the primary goal of treatment being pain relief. It is important for you to discuss your objectives with your chiropractor in order to develop a treatment plan that works best for you. Keep in mind, healing rates vary from person to person. Children tend to respond more quickly to treatment, whereas adults and seniors may respond more slowly.
Electrical stimulation mimics the body's nervous system by sending safe, low frequency electrical pulses to the affected area, causing the muscle to contract and increasing temperature and blood circulation. The same natural process of the body to repair injuries works with stim to relieve other common nervous system disorders, including constant headaches, numbness of limbs, and back pain. By utilizing and encouraging the body's natural healing mechanisms, stim and similar therapies can drastically reduce the dependence on medications and unnecessary surgeries and resolve the symptoms of underlying causes much quicker.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound uses extremely high frequency sound waves that are out of the range of human hearing but in the case of chiropractic, the use of ultrasound is known as therapeutic ultrasonography. Ultrasonography is the use of high frequency sounds to visualize subcutaneous structures within the body including muscles, joints, tendons, vessels and internal organs. The ‘micro-massage’ that ultrasound creates can help reduce swelling, increase blood flow, and decrease pain, stiffness, and spasms, making it a viable therapy for numerous conditions. From patients who have suffered car accidents to those that have chronic back pain from any number of sources, ultrasound therapy can help.
Ultrasound and Electrical Stimulation Combination (Combo)
Ultrasound and electrical stimulation (combo) therapy is a therapeutic method used to achieve the results of both methods simultaneously, intending to benefit through both aspects of therapy methods. By combining the use of therapeutic muscular ultrasound, the high frequency sound waves within the combo unit create vibration and heat within the muscular tissue with the conductive gel and / or Biofreeze. By doing so, this allows an increase in blood flow, thus nutrients and oxygen, to the desired area to promote pain reduction. By combining the ultrasound with electrical stimulation, the goal is to benefit the muscle through increased stimulation, nerve blocking, and pain reduction while promoting muscle strength and relaxation.

Natural placement of the head and neck, accomplished with the many different styles and shapes of Core cervical pillows, can help relieve intense pain by providing natural and correct posturing in supine (back) and side-sleeping positions. Cervical support pillows are used when a cervical hypolordosis (less than normal curvature of the spine) exists, to prevent hypolordosis, or when cervical spasms or strains occur. These pillows are orthotic devices (apparatus used to align or support) used to help relieve spasms, remove minor tensions and maintain or resume the natural cervical lordotic curve while at rest. By providing proper neck support, cervical pillows can help with: Neck muscle and joint strains and sprains Tension headaches Whiplash injuries Arthritis Morning hand stiffness and swelling Temporomandibular disorders Stiffness Snoring (in some cases)
